The new ambassador was the US Consul General in Peshawar, Pakistan. He has also served in senior leadership positions such as Deputy Ambassador (Charge d’Affaire), and Deputy Chief of Staff at the US Embassy in Oslo, Norway, Assistant to the Chief of Staff at the US Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, and Deputy Chief of Staff at the US Embassy in Sana’a. , Yemen, and the Senior Representative of the Reconstruction Team in Nangahar Province, Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

He was also the Deputy Director of the Egyptian Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Senior Coordinator for Democracy and Human Rights at the US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq.<\/p>\n
