The Ethiopian government today named Getachow Reda as the interim president of the Tigray region, according to a recent news release from the Prime Minister’s Office, Abiy Ahmed.<\/p>\n

Getachow Reda, who previously held various positions in the Ethiopian government before the conflict between the TPLF and the Ethiopian government, as well as the spokesperson of the TPLF after the conflict, will now lead the interim government in Tigray until the next election. .<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the TPLF group selected Getachow Reda to lead the new administration of Tigray region, while the leader of TPLF Debretsion said that within a few days the new administration of Tigray region will be established.<\/p>\n

The appointment of Getachow Reda comes a day after the Ethiopian government removed the TPLF from the terrorist list, which the government added during the war in Northern Ethiopia.<\/p>\n

Getachow Reda is taking over the leadership of the Tigray administration from his friend Debretsion, who was a member of the TPLF, and he was the Speaker, Debretsion welcomed this because the person he is handing over is a member of the TPLF.<\/p>\n

The TPLF used to rule Ethiopia in different ways, sometimes through the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, and other times they indirectly controlled the politics of the Horn of Africa.<\/p>\n
