The Ethiopian government has opposed a recent statement by the United States Department of State that all parties fighting in the Tigray region, led by the Ethiopian army, have committed war crimes.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia said in a statement yesterday that the accusations made by the United States against Ethiopia regarding the war in the Tigray region are far from the truth, and can damage the relationship between the two sides.<\/p>\n

United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Monday that Ethiopian, Eritrean, Amharic and TPLF militias have committed war crimes that violate human rights.<\/p>\n

But these accusations have been denied by all parties, remembering that in the past, Eritrea, which was helping Ethiopia, denied that it committed war crimes in the Tigray region during the war in the North.<\/p>\n
