\n<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong> – The inauguration of Yoweri Museveni for a fourth term in office on the 12th May 2011 clearly highlights the Ugandan people\u2019s allegiance to the projected vision of their leader. By electing Museveni\u2019s National Resistance Movement (NRM) once again to govern their affairs and form their decisions, the people of Uganda have not only become unanimously complicit in the crimes of their soldiers here in Somalia, but have also confirmed their unwavering commitment to the invasion and oppression of the innocent civilians of Somalia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mogadishu, SOMALIA (14\/05\/2011)<\/span><\/p>\n

But while Museveni\u2019s inaugural speech focused largely on the economic and educational sectors, he failed to address the plight of the Ugandan soldiers in Mogadishu. And while the inauguration ceremony was in progress in Kololo, Mogadishu\u2019s streets were being painted crimson red and overflowing with the blood of Ugandan soldiers and senior commanders from the Ugandan People\u2019s Defence Forces (UPDF).
\nAway from the limelight, Mogadishu has now become Uganda\u2019s nightmare. And as the battle continues to rage in the capital, the number of Ugandan soldiers killed in the battle also continues to rise. Along with nearly a dozen of his soldiers, Cpl DRICH ALFRED of Plt II C COY, whose body is still in our custody, became that latest in a long list of Ugandan soldiers to pay for Museveni\u2019s misguided adventures.<\/p>\n

\nCpl Alfred, whose platoon was headed by LT Richard Ogola, was among the senior commanders of the invading Ugandan army. He and his seniors were solely responsible for the displacement of tens of thousands of people from their homes, the death of thousands of innocent men, women and children, as well as the constant bombardment of civilian areas.
\nTo the Ugandan Public: <\/strong>
\nYour sons continue to perpetrate heinous crimes against our people in Mogadishu. More than 300 mortars a day continue to pound heavily populated areas, market places and even hospitals.<\/p>\n

For a meager salary that barely provides the basic sustenance, your sons serve as paid mercenaries \u2013 fighting an endless battle on behalf of the West \u2013 and thereby losing their lives cheaply in Mogadishu.<\/p>\n

But the blood of the innocent women and children whom the likes of Alfred have shed on a daily basis here in Mogadishu will not be easily forgotten; rather, every drop will be accounted for \u2013 ounce for ounce – and the atrocities that your sons continue to commit with impunity against our people will be justly repaid.<\/p>\n

Then you will realize that the notion of peace that you so much covet will turn out to be nothing but a mirage. It is you, the people of Uganda, who will pay the heftiest price for your army\u2019s invasion of our country. And now that you have made your choice very clear by re-electing Museveni, it is time for you to bear the burden of your choices.<\/p>\n
