The Vice President also noted that traditional elders from the Hiiraan region, along with other segments of society, have initiated a consultative forum in the city of Beledweyne to discuss the political future of Hirshabelle, amid an ongoing dispute regarding the administration’s electoral process.<\/p>\n
Dabageed remarked that the forum in Beledweyne presents an opportunity to resolve the political conflict in Hirshabelle. He explained that the discussions are focused on the administration’s political future, and he urged all parties to participate in efforts aimed at establishing an inclusive governance framework.<\/p>\n
Dabageed criticized the electoral process planned for the city of Jowhar, accusing the President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and his team of attempting to control the election without having secured a political or social consensus among the relevant stakeholders. He argued that the electoral process in Jowhar is inconsistent with both the Federal Constitution and the Constitution of Hirshabelle, stating that the role of the community and the clans in determining their own political representation cannot be overlooked.<\/p>\n
