More information is available about a fierce battle in areas under the Ceeldheer district of Galgaduud region between forces of the Macawisleyda and the Al-Shabaab group.<\/p>\n

The Macawisleyda forces attacked a militia position in the Ceeldheer district of Galgaduud region, and the two sides engaged in a battle that lasted for about an hour.<\/p>\n

The areas where the battle took place are Ali Yabaal, Uubad and Hirsi Elmi, all under the Ceeldheer district of Galgaduud region.<\/p>\n

Abdulqadir Ali Bugle, one of the Macawisleyda forces, told the media that they had suffered heavy losses from members of the Al-Shabaab group, adding that their forces had not suffered any casualties.<\/p>\n

This battle comes as Al-Shabaab is still present in many areas of the Galgaduud and Mudug regions of the Galmudug regional administration.<\/p>\n
