The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, met with his counterpart, President of the United States, Donald Trump, who hosted a dinner for leaders attending the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly last night.<\/p>\n

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was among the leaders who took a commemorative photo with President of the United States, Donald Trump, and his wife after being invited to the White House.<\/p>\n

The dinner was a celebration of the friendly and cooperative relations between member states of the United Nations, and encouraged international cooperation based on peace, development, and combating global challenges.<\/p>\n

As is customary in the United States, at the end of the annual United Nations General Assembly, the president in office hosts a dinner for the various officials attending the meeting.<\/p>\n

The dinner and photo session that the Somali and American presidents attended last night comes as the US president has described Somalia as a corrupt country without a government in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

Finally, the leaders who attended the United Nations summit are expected to return to their countries in the coming hours, as the dinner was the opening ceremony of the 80th session of the United Nations.<\/p>\n
