A press release from the Jubbaland Ministry of Information discussed the situation in Gedo region and the recent fighting in Beledxawo district in which soldiers and officers from the Jubbaland army were killed.<\/p>\n

Jubbaland has made serious allegations to the Press Office against the President of the Federal Government, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and the Head of Gedo regional security, Abdirashid Janan, accusing them of being behind the fighting and inciting conflict in the Gedo region.<\/p>\n

Jubbaland also said that the Federal Government of Somalia is pursuing a plan to weaken or destroy the existence of the Jubbaland administration.<\/p>\n

“The Jubaland government reaffirms its determination to fully prevent any attempt to overthrow the Jubaland Government and the Federal system of Somalia, which is the main goal of the accused Hassan Sheikh Mohamud,” the press office from Jubbaland said.<\/p>\n

This news from Jubbaland comes as pro-government forces have recently been withdrawn from Beledweyne and surrounding areas, and the Federal Government has called on Jubbaland soldiers in Gedo to surrender to government forces.<\/p>\n
