The chairman of the Kaah opposition party in Somaliland, Mohamud Xashi Abdi, has vowed to lead the party in ensuring that Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud loses the upcoming presidential election.<\/p>\n

He said they will use someone else to remove him from office, which he interpreted as referring to Somaliland\u2019s members of the federal parliament.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will take revenge on the tenth hand, and Hassan will see the men we are. There will be no division in Sool, Hassan Sheikh will soon see the men we are, when we remove the Kurds from the streets, he will see,\u201d said Mohamud Xashi.<\/p>\n

Hashi, referring to their victory over the recently declared Northeastern administration in Lascaanod, said: \u201cWe are shedding blood for the defense, solidarity and unity of our nation. Our society cannot be divided, and Somaliland is a nation with its own borders and geography.\u201d<\/p>\n

A similar statement was previously shared with the media by Boqor Osman Aw Mohamud Buurmadow, during a prisoner exchange in Puntland months ago, when he said that they would support the President of Puntland, Said Abdillahi Deni, who is running for the presidency of Somalia, implying that the parliamentarians from Somaliland would vote for him.<\/p>\n

The Somaliland parliamentarians in the federal government are rumored to often defend the interests of Somaliland, claiming to be federal parliamentarians. This has often caused uproar in the parliaments.<\/p>\n

MP Gobsan, one of the parliamentarians from Somaliland, recently said: \u201cDefending Somaliland is as obligatory for me as praying the five prayers, even though I am sitting at the table; if I am not at the table, there is no such thing as unity.\u201d This statement caused a stir on social media.<\/p>\n

The new administration implemented by the federal government in the northeastern city of Lascaanod, which is said to be implemented in the Sool, Sanaag and Togdheer regions, has alienated Somaliland, which considers these regions as part of its territory.<\/p>\n
