The Ministry of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia has announced that it is closely monitoring the unstable developments in the Gedo region.<\/p>\n

In a press release issued by the Ministry of Internal Security, it was stated that the situation in the Gedo region is being incited by elements it described as spoilers ordered by the President of the Jubbaland administration, Ahmed Mohamed Islam Madoobe.<\/p>\n

The press release also noted that Mahmoud Sayid Adan is one of the individuals who was previously responsible for security incidents in the region, and is currently suspected of being linked to the ongoing violent activities in Gedo.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Federal Government forces are fully present in the region, where they are conducting operations to prevent security threats, with the help of the local population, and action will be taken against anyone who continues their evil actions,\u201d the Ministry of Internal Security of Somalia said in a statement.<\/p>\n

This news from the Somali Ministry of Security comes as Ethiopian and Jubbaland forces are conducting operations in the Gedo region, especially in the town of Beledhawo, which was recently completely taken over by the Federal Government forces led by Abdirashid Janan.<\/p>\n
