The Government of Somalia and the Government of Switzerland have signed a new cooperation agreement to improve migration services and border security.<\/p>\n

The agreement aims to strengthen the quality of migration services, increase the knowledge of staff, and provide modern tools to deal with fraudulent documents.<\/p>\n

The Director General of the Somali Migration and Citizenship Agency (HSJ), Mustafa Duxulow, and a delegation he led held important meetings with the heads of the migration, security, justice, and foreign affairs agencies of Switzerland, and both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation to achieve common goals related to migration security and document legalization.<\/p>\n

Director Duxulow thanked the Swiss government for the equipment it recently donated to Somalia, which is used to detect fraudulent migration documents. He said that this equipment and the accompanying training will greatly contribute to the improvement of HSJ services, and are important for the international credibility of the Somali passport.<\/p>\n

Mustaf Dhuxulow\u2019s delegation met with the Swiss Passport and Identity Agency, where they discussed in depth how to improve the Somali passport and achieve internationally recognized standards.<\/p>\n

This partnership is considered important for Somalia\u2019s efforts to ensure security, improve services for citizens, and enhance its relations with developed countries.<\/p>\n
