The Military Court today handed down various sentences to a network that manufactured vehicles used for explosives after the hearing of all the cases against the defendants in this network was concluded.<\/p>\n

This network includes a man named Abdinasir Mohamed Hassan, who is accused of manufacturing vehicles used for explosives for Al Shabaab and removing the identification marks from the new vehicles, so that they would not be referred to security agencies. He has been carrying out these activities for Al Shabaab since 2018. He was sentenced to life imprisonment.<\/p>\n

Abdinasir, who worked under a leader named Khalid, used to receive $240 as a salary, and was sold a NOHA vehicle that he used to facilitate his Al Shabaab activities, and a garage was also opened for him to represent Al Shabaab.<\/p>\n

Madeey Abdi Hussein, who is part of this network, received his contact with Al Shabaab from the first accused Abdinasir. He traveled for a day and night to Kunya Barrow. After a month of being there, they returned to Eelasha Biyaha, where he repaired three cars with $400 dollars that Al Shabaab had seized, and gave $50 to Isse Madeey Abdi Hussein, his nephew.<\/p>\n

Madeey was sentenced to two years, while Isse was sentenced to one year in prison for being an Al Shabaab member.<\/p>\n

Finally, the Military Court released Abdikadir Ali Farah Tabliiq, who was also accused of wanting to buy a car from Al-Shabaab that belonged to him, but the security forces found out that he had not bought it, and he was arrested. The court later dismissed the charges against him.<\/p>\n
