The Prime Minister of the Somali Government, Hamsa Abdi Barre, has launched a verbal attack on some of the opposition members of the government, saying that they are carrying messages from foreign governments that do not want stability in Somalia.<\/p>\n

He accused the opposition members of appearing in public and holding press conferences, conveying messages from foreign countries that want instability in Somalia when the government comes to power.<\/p>\n

“It is in the interest of governments, as you know, that when times like these come, their job is to bribe Somali politicians to let the money run and explode, stop it, this is the season they used to do,” said Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister noted that the opposition always criticizes the military, repeating that there is no single organization that can fight Al Shabaab, and he stressed that none of the opposition members have even visited the hospital of the injured soldiers of the National Army.<\/p>\n

“Have you seen politicians who say every day that there is no military, visiting hospitals, soldiers who give water to a battalion, saying that they cannot fight? So who are the ones who are in the streets and are preventing Al Shabaab? Why can’t they capture this city if there are no soldiers to stop them?” the Prime Minister continued, addressing a large crowd of young people.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister noted that his government has achieved significant and tangible achievements during its tenure, and is committed to leading the Somali people in eradicating Al Shabaab and implementing one-person, one-vote elections.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Hamsa indicated that the popular elections being implemented in the country are a way to restore the Somali people’s power, which they have been deprived of for more than 56 years, and are also a way for the youth to shape the future of their country.<\/p>\n
