The President of the SSC Khaatumo administration, Abdulqadir Ahmed Aw Ali Firdhiye, who spoke at a large event held in Lascaanod, the capital of Sool region, yesterday called for unconditional peace and good neighborliness in Somaliland.<\/p>\n

President Firdhiye said that for the past two years, they have been calling for peace, and he indicated that from now on, they will not accept peace that undermines the existence of the SSC Khaatumo administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince August 25, 2023, we have called for peace, and we still stand by it. We are ready for unconditional peace. But we will not accept peace that undermines our will,\u201d said the President of the SSC Khaatumo, Abdulqadir Firdhiye.<\/p>\n

Abdiqadir Firdhiye also called on the federal government to play its role in the peace talks between Somaliland and SSC Khaatumo.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe call on the Danqaran government and the president of the republic to take the leading role in peace, instead of foreign governments, let them come together and talk to us, we hope for nothing less than good,\u201d said President Firdhiye.<\/p>\n

The statement by Abdulqadir Firdhiye comes as Somali Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre announced yesterday that SSC Khatumo is one of the regional states of the country.<\/p>\n
