A boy and a girl from Berbera attempted suicide on Tuesday. The boy drank poison, while the girl hanged herself.<\/p>\n

The boy, identified as Ali Mohamed Abdalle, drank poison after a fight with a woman he married. He was rushed to the Berbera General Hospital in critical condition, where he is currently receiving treatment.<\/p>\n

Similarly, the girl, identified as Saado, who lived in the house of Kawsar (the girl the boy who recently committed suicide over), hanged herself, and was barely rescued, according to journalist Libaan Janaale, who spoke to Horyaal TV.<\/p>\n

“One of the witnesses untied the girl, and she was rescued from there. The girl is between 20 and 22 years old. It is not known why she hanged herself, but her mother told us that she has not spoken to us yet,” Janaale said.<\/p>\n

These two incidents come after Mohamed Jama Gaaxnuux, a young man, set himself on fire on the 15th of this month and died after his parents rejected him for a girl he was working with.<\/p>\n

These incidents have become a source of great shock and people are sharing their comments on social media and meeting places. Berbera was previously known for the love affair of Cilmi Ismael Liibaan (Cilmi Boodhari), who died in 1941 after falling in love with a girl.<\/p>\n
