The advisor to the president of the federal government of Somalia on relations with the regional states, Mohamed Hassan Ibrahim Qoone, has strongly criticized the top leaders of the Hirshabelle administration.<\/p>\n

Mohamed Hassan Ibrahim Qoone criticized the two top leaders of Hirshabelle for failing to fight the Al-Shabaab group in some areas of the administration.<\/p>\n

“The leaders of Hirshabelle who were supposed to lead the fight against terrorism are both from Jowhar Jifa and Beledweyne, which is very regrettable. I call on the people of Hirshabelle to unite to participate in the fight in Middle Shabelle and Hiran, to eliminate this Khawarij group from the entire Hirshabelle region,” said the presidential advisor on relations with the regional states, Mohamed Hassan Ibrahim Qoone.<\/p>\n

Advisor Qoone also pointed out that the country is in a war phase to eradicate Al-Shabaab, and there is a need to unite in the fight together.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the Advisor to the President of the Federal Government of Somalia on regional state relations, Mohamed Hassan Ibrahim Qoone, described the events in Gedo region as regrettable, saying that it has failed the current government.<\/p>\n

“It is very regrettable and it is not appropriate for the government to fail in addressing the issues that have arisen in Gedo region. I call for the establishment of a committee in Gedo region so that people living there can access social services. Finally, Somalia has had different governments since the 1956 government, and they were all good governments. However, the current government in the country is one that does not serve the country and the people and serves its own interests,” said Qoone.<\/p>\n

The official’s statement comes after a day earlier, a Somali mother who gave birth in the town of Baardheere was reported to have died due to lack of medical care, after a plane was not available to take her to Mogadishu, even though the Somali Civil Aviation Authority said there were no flight restrictions in the Gedo region.<\/p>\n
