There are more reports of a serious attack by the Al-Shabaab group early this morning in the Balcad district of the Middle Shabelle region.<\/p>\n

The attack started with strong explosions that the group targeted the positions of the government forces in the area of \u200b\u200bthe district, followed by a direct fight that enabled the group to take control of Balcad district.<\/p>\n

Emergency forces that quickly arrived in Balcad district managed to drive Al-Shabaab out of the city, and now the district is fully under the control of the Somali government forces.<\/p>\n

A statement issued by the federal government said that the army has killed Al-Shabaab members who attacked Balcad district this morning.<\/p>\n

“Most of the forces of the Somali National Army this morning gave an unforgettable lesson to the Khawarij militia who attacked the military positions on the outskirts of Balcad district in the Middle Shabelle region,” the statement issued by the government said.<\/p>\n

The news from the Federal Government also said that a heavy blow was delivered to the Al-Shabaab group in the morning attack, and their bodies are still in the fields in the district.<\/p>\n

The battle that took place this morning in the Balcad district is coming, as in the past few days, the Al-Shabaab group has carried out similar attacks in many areas in the Middle Shabelle region.<\/p>\n
