Reports from Adan Yabal District in the Middle Shabelle Region say that Al-Shabaab fighters attacked the bases of the government forces and the Mawislees in El Ali Ahmed area under Adan Yabal District this morning.<\/p>\n

The area is protected from the Adan Yabal District which is under the control of the Government Forces, the people of the area told the media that the attack started with very strong explosions followed by live fire and face-to-face fighting.<\/p>\n

Although it is not yet known the losses suffered by both sides, the officers of the Government Army and those of the local forces resisted the attack by Al Shabaab.<\/p>\n

Al-Shabaab has focused on this area to reach Adan Yabal, which was one of the bases of the group that was removed when the operation to eradicate the group was launched by the President of Somalia when he was re-elected.<\/p>\n

The forces of the Somali government and those of Mawisley have succeeded in liberating a large area that Al-Shabaab has controlled for years in central and southern Somalia.<\/p>\n
