The Somali forces, especially the 175th Brigade of the 17th Eagle Brigade and the 146th Brigade of the 14th October, have carried out planned operations against the Al-Shabaab group in the past few hours in the Lower Shabelle region.<\/p>\n

The army carried out the operation specifically in the village called Gumeysidid where the group had control points and trapped vehicles and civilians.<\/p>\n

The commander of the October 14 Brigade of the Somali National Army, Major General Nur Mohamed Gaabow, told the National Media that they have stepped on all the checkpoints where the group was harassing the transport and the exiles.<\/p>\n

“We don’t accept that the Khawarij will continue to harm our society and our nation. We are always ready to go after them in any place where they hide. While the operation was going on, the Lions of our National Army released the vehicles and people who were trapped by the Khawarij in Gumeysidid village,” said the Commander of the October 14 Brigade of the Somali National Army, Nur Mohamed Gaabow.<\/p>\n

The commander also said that they will continue such operations to prevent the group’s problems with vehicles and people traveling on the roads of the Lower Shabelle region.<\/p>\n
