There are more reports of a fierce battle that took place this afternoon in areas under the districts of Bula Burte and Halgan in Hiran region.<\/p>\n

The battle between the local forces and the Al-Shabaab group took place in Beera Yabal area under Bula Burte district.<\/p>\n

The cooperating forces are said to have fully taken control of the Bera Yabal area and the neighboring areas, after a long-hour battle between the two sides.<\/p>\n

The preliminary reports that are coming out say that the battle today has caused a heavy loss to the Al-Shabaab group which has been gathering in the areas between Bula Burte and Halgan for the past few days.<\/p>\n

The Minister of Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia who spoke briefly about the war that took place today in Hiran region said that Al-Shabaab group has been defeated.<\/p>\n

“Today there was a heavy defeat of the Khawarij in Hiran region. I thank the CXDS heroes and the people of Hiran,” said Minister of Defense Abdulqadir Mohamed Noor.<\/p>\n

There is still no official news confirming the number of Al-Shabaab killed in today’s battle between Bulaburte and Halgan in Hiran region, apart from the victory claimed by the government.<\/p>\n
