Puntland security forces said they killed several Daesh fighters during a military operation that took place this morning in the Calmikaad mountains in the Bari region.<\/p>\n

This operation, which was said to be planned, was also captured according to military officials, 48 \u200b\u200bpositions where Daesh fighters were.<\/p>\n

According to the officials, foreign fighters were killed in a planned operation early this morning.<\/p>\n

A statement issued by the military officials said, “The security forces captured 48 positions of the IS group, while several fighters, including foreigners, were killed in the military operations.”<\/p>\n

The operation has now entered its third phase, with Puntland striving to liberate the Daesh group from the mountainous areas of Calmikaad.<\/p>\n

However, an official from Puntland’s security agencies told HOL that the war against Daesh could take up to four years.<\/p>\n

The official pointed out that the power of the Daesh group is not easy, noting that there are almost two thousand foreign fighters in the mountains of Almikaad.<\/p>\n

“The area where Daesh is located is more than 400 km away. “The Puntland forces are now in about 80 km of that area,” said the official.<\/p>\n
