The reports coming from the western areas of Mudug region are reporting that there is a solution to the conflict between the communities in these areas after the efforts made by the authorities of Galmudug and Puntland.<\/p>\n

The Minister of Internal Security of Galmudug Mohamed Abdi Adam (Old) who led the Galmudug delegation that participated in the meetings to resolve conflicts in Western Mudug Region, indicated that the two regional governments are committed to creating peace in Western Mudug Region.<\/p>\n

There are several provisions of the peace accords and Minister Gabobe mentioned that the provisions will be implemented as soon as possible and the people of the area have already issued a call for the cessation of hostilities.<\/p>\n

One of the issues that were brought out in those meetings is that in order to implement the decisions made in the first phase of the peace settlement between the warring communities, within a period of 7 days, the arbitration committee of the conflict between the two communities should be held.<\/p>\n

It is also part of the points that came out to find a solution to the events behind the first phase of the peace agreement between the warring clans, with the help of the technical committee and the Elders of both sides.<\/p>\n

Finally, it was mentioned that the peace committees of the two communities, the technical committee and the elders of both sides are working with the two administrations of Galmudug and Puntland to ensure that there will be no further conflict between the two sides.<\/p>\n
