The Taliban-led government in Afghanistan, which is famous for issuing a series of decrees concerning women, has decided to board the windows of buildings in residential areas so that men cannot see women without the hijab.<\/p>\n

The government ordered that new windows should not be made in the high-rise buildings in the neighborhoods, and that the existing windows should be removed, so that men do not see the women in the houses from above.<\/p>\n

“Seeing women working in the kitchen, backyards or fetching water from wells can cause immoral acts,” said the spokesman of the Islamic Government of Afghanistan, Zabihullah Mujahid.<\/p>\n

The government has also banned women’s voices from markets and places where people gather, and from now on women will not be allowed to raise their voices in markets and streets.<\/p>\n

The Taliban, which has been criticized for targeting women in particular, has already suspended girls’ education beyond the 6th grade. Although they have repeatedly said that they will restore higher education for women, this has not yet been possible.<\/p>\n

Afghan women can no longer do most of the jobs, as the power and management of the country’s jobs has been completely transferred to men. Western countries that used to support Kabul, have now suspended their support, making it a condition that women get more education and freedom.<\/p>\n

The Islamic organization of the Taliban, which has been at war for 20 years with the NATO-led forces in Afghanistan, was evacuated in 2001 after the 9\/11 attacks.<\/p>\n
