A high-level delegation from the Ethiopian government led by the Minister of Defense of Ethiopia Egn. Aisha Mohamed concluded an official working visit to Mogadishu, which is a step to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.<\/p>\n

During their visit, the delegation held talks with the President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, while delivering a message from the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed. The talks are based on the strengthening of deep cooperation to ensure peace and stability in the region.<\/p>\n

Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to peace in the region and agreed on cooperative measures to support the AUSSOM mission.<\/p>\n

A plan was also put in place to facilitate high-level visits between Addis Ababa and Mogadishu, which they said would strengthen diplomatic and defense ties.<\/p>\n

The Minister of Defense of Somalia, Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur Jama, thanked the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the role of the Ethiopian Defense Forces in the stability of Somalia.<\/p>\n

This visit follows a recent trip to Ethiopia by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somalia, H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar, while holding talks with the leaders of Ethiopia, strengthened the ongoing cooperation.<\/p>\n
