The election of the new chairman of the Jubbaland Parliament is scheduled to be held in Kismayo, the capital of Lower Jubba region, on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The recent process of electing the new chairman of the Jubbaland House of Representatives is widely felt in the city and its security has been tightened today.<\/p>\n

The candidates running for the post of Jubbaland House of Representatives were registered yesterday.<\/p>\n

The new parliamentarians of the Jubbaland administration consist of 75 members, who are said to have been selected by the traditional elders of the Jubbaland clans, and the interim chairman is Sheikh Abdi Yusuf Ali.<\/p>\n

The Jubbaland House of Representatives election in Kismayo today will be followed by the Jubaland presidential election which will be held on the 25th of November.<\/p>\n

The current election activities in Jubbaland are rejected by the federal government which has said that it will not accept any result of the Jubbaland elections and pointed out that Ahmed Madobe wants to be re-elected again.<\/p>\n
