The President of the Federal Government of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and his delegation arrived today in Kampala, the capital of Uganda.<\/p>\n

During his stay in Uganda, the president will have a special meeting with his counterpart, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, where he will discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations between Somalia and Uganda.<\/p>\n

The two presidents will also discuss the transition plan of the ATMIS operation, cooperation in the fields of security and maintaining the stability of the region.<\/p>\n

“The visit of the President of the Republic of Uganda is part of a series of visits that he will make in the coming days to the countries where the troops are in Somalia. He will discuss with the leaders of those countries about the transition plan of the African Union mission in Somalia.” said in a statement issued by the Somali Presidency.<\/p>\n

The government of Somalia is preparing for the new operation plan that will replace ATMIS and is preparing for the replacement troops and the new governments that will be added to the new operation, including Egypt which has now prepared new troops.<\/p>\n
