The Jubbaland government said that they have foiled an attempt by the al-Shabaab group to capture the village of Buulo Haji under Kismayo, where the Jubbaland forces freed the al-Shabaab a few months ago.<\/p>\n

The spokesman of the Jubbaland forces, Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Farah Dahir, said that the Al-Shabaab group launched a fierce battle against the positions of the Jubbaland forces in front of the village of Bulo Haji. He said that the Al-Shabaab had been defeated in that battle, and they had suffered heavy losses in terms of deaths and injuries.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson of the Jubbaland army denied reports that Al-Shabaab had taken control of Bulo Haji, saying that they did not pass through the defenses of their forces on the outskirts of the village.<\/p>\n

He said that the Jubbaland forces have killed two soldiers and two others are injured. He said that their army is still in the places where they were before.<\/p>\n

However, Al-Shabaab said yesterday that they took control of Bulo Haji village, saying that they killed six Jubbaland soldiers there.<\/p>\n
