The Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, said that Somalia is ready for the withdrawal of ATMIS troops. He said that the government has made a plan to ensure that the security of the country does not decrease when the foreign troops leave the country.<\/p>\n

Hamse Abdi Barre declared that the government of Somalia is fully responsible for the security of its country, saying that it will never be allowed that the Al-Shabaab group take advantage of any opportunity.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that seven thousand ATMIS soldiers have already left Somalia, and the security responsibilities of those areas have been taken over by the Somali forces.<\/p>\n

“Did you hear the places where AMISOM troops left, Al-Shabaab recaptured, no. We are telling the Somali people to trust us, to know that we are responsible for their security, and we will not allow Al-Shabaab to come and attack them,” said the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre made this statement in the city of Baidoa, where there are tensions regarding the presence of Ethiopian troops.<\/p>\n

The South West administration has opposed the removal of Ethiopian troops from their areas, which has reduced the cooperation between the Federal Government and the South West administration.<\/p>\n
