Some of the Somali religious scholars in a meeting held today in Mogadishu strongly opposed Ethiopia’s desire for Somali land, showing their support for Egypt’s relationship with Somalia.<\/p>\n

In this meeting, the scholars clearly warned against Ethiopia’s aggression in Somalia, saying that they cannot accept it, and that it needs to be prevented.<\/p>\n

Scholars have greatly welcomed Egypt’s relationship with Somalia, pointing out that Egypt is an Islamic country that has good cooperation with Somalia.<\/p>\n

They also said that it is a religious duty to reject Ethiopia’s atrocities.<\/p>\n

The scholars issued this call:-<\/p>\n

They called to defend the independence and unity of the Somali nation<\/p>\n

They called on the community to unite for the defense of the religion and the country, and avoid anything that could destroy the unity of the people.<\/p>\n

They warned people against inciting and dividing the society.<\/p>\n

They called on the government to create an environment where people with disabilities can talk to each other to strengthen unity.<\/p>\n

They called on Ethiopia to protect its neighbors and peace for the people of the two countries.<\/p>\n
