Ten members of the Al-Shabaab organization were executed this morning in the city of Galkayo after the high court of the armed forces of Puntland sentenced them to death.<\/p>\n

These individuals were found guilty of killing many civilians and other officials in the city of Galkayo, before Puntland’s security forces arrested them almost three years ago.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Puntland security forces are also looking for three of the group that were executed this morning, but recently escaped from Galkayo prison.<\/p>\n

The fugitives are considered dangerous, and a reward has been offered for information leading to their capture.<\/p>\n

This sentence is the second most execution of Al-Shabaab members in the city of Galkayo, as in 2022 the Puntland administration executed 18 Al-Shabaab members.<\/p>\n

Their killing is considered a big blow to the Al-Shabaab group which has been carrying out planned attacks and killings in Northern Galkayo since 2008.<\/p>\n
