The Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamsa Abdi Barre, closed the second conference of Somali clerics in Mogadishu, which discussed the fight against al-Shabaab, the government of Somalia, separatism and social threats.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister emphasized the important role of Somali scholars in the reconstruction and development of the country. He urged the clerics to strengthen their unity and overcome divisions, calling on them to be leaders in the fight against terrorist groups, especially Al-Shabaab, which he described as a major threat to the economy, society and the existence of the nation.<\/p>\n

“Terrorists spread ignorance, bad religion, and bad culture, and lead to a nation without culture and leadership,” said Prime Minister Hamse.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre encouraged the scholars to fight against the tribes and other problems facing the Somali Muslim community, and he thanked the Ministry of Religion and Endowment for organizing this conference for the second year in a row.<\/p>\n

He also sent his condolences to the relatives of prominent scholars such as Sheikh Osman Hiddig and Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister condemned the killing of Ismail Haniyeh, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the act as a violation of international law.<\/p>\n
