The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has issued a decree recognizing that the districts of Banadir region are Garasbaale, Darussalam and Gubadlee.<\/p>\n

The spokesman of the Banadir regional administration, Salah Hassan Omar, told the media that Gubadley, Darussalam and Garasbaaley became one of the official districts of the Banadir region.<\/p>\n

He also said the regional administration spokesman that the plan to recognize these three districts has been going on for a long time, and the governor of Banadir region had a proposal to recognize Gubadlee, Darussalam and Garsbaale districts.<\/p>\n

An event announcing the recognition of these three districts took place last night in Mogadishu and was attended by officials including the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the governor of Banadir region, his deputy and the governors of the districts of Banadir region.<\/p>\n

These three districts located around the city of Mogadishu make the total number of districts in Banadir region 20 districts, while previously there were 17 districts.<\/p>\n
