The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud said that Somalia is ready to pursue all diplomatic options to resolve the conflict with Ethiopia.<\/p>\n

The President of Somalia said that if this is not done, Somalia is ready for war, and he stressed the need for peaceful coexistence but not to compromise the territorial integrity and independence of Somalia.<\/p>\n

President Hassan Sheikh has called on the Somali people to prepare for the defense of their homeland.<\/p>\n

Hassan Sheikh Mohamud said the path to peace requires diplomatic balance, national unity, and a strong determination towards Somalia’s independence.<\/p>\n

This statement was part of a speech delivered by the president at the Somali presidential palace mosque after Friday prayers.<\/p>\n

The president’s statement came as Somaliland said that within two months the maritime agreement with the Ethiopian government will be completed.<\/p>\n
