The minister of internal affairs of the South West administration said that a solution has been reached to a conflict between two communities in Dinsoor district of Bay region.<\/p>\n

The Minister of Interior, Abdullahi Haji Hassan said that the two communities have made peace. After many efforts, he said, it was agreed that no further fighting would take place.<\/p>\n

“We have brought the two communities together, and they are happy and accepted the peace. We presented the elders of the two communities holding hands, and it is a great victory in the conflict,” said the minister of the interior of the South West.<\/p>\n

More than 10 people died in the conflict between the two communities. Hundreds of families have also been displaced from their homes as a result of the conflict, forcing them to flee to rural areas.<\/p>\n

The Somali government has deployed troops between the militias of the two warring communities, and the security of Dinsoor district has been handed over to the armed forces and the Dervishes of the Southwest.<\/p>\n

Business in Dinsoor town is still closed, after the effects of the conflict between the two communities.<\/p>\n
