There are more reports of a serious attack by the Al-Shabaab group early this morning on a control center in the Balcad district of the Middle Shabelle region.<\/p>\n

The attack was said to have started with strong explosions targeting two checkpoints that were guarded by security forces in the district, and the explosions were followed by a direct battle between Al-Shabaab and the government forces.<\/p>\n

Preliminary images obtained from the attack this morning show a strong explosion caused by the explosions and many black mists in the air of Balcad district.<\/p>\n

It is not yet known the official losses that resulted from the attack by the Al-Shabaab group early in the morning on the checkpoints in that district.<\/p>\n

The latest reports are now saying that the situation is calm and the government forces are conducting operations in the district.<\/p>\n

There is no news from the government and the Al-Shabaab group regarding the fighting that took place this morning in some parts of the city of Balcad in the Middle Shabelle region.<\/p>\n
