The security forces, the Haramed Police and the national security forces have conducted a planned operation today in areas under the Marka district in the Lower Shabelle region.<\/p>\n

The forces jointly carried out the operation in several villages in the forest area between the areas of Jilib Marko and Buulo Nagey.<\/p>\n

A statement issued by the Federal Government said that the forces destroyed Al-Shabaab centers in the forest area called Macalin Yusuf, Nafaqow and other villages under the town of Marka Cadey.<\/p>\n

“The government of Somalia has intensified the war against Al-Shabaab. In the last days, the army and the people working together have taken over more than 20 areas,” said the statement from the government.<\/p>\n

It was recently when the area called Jilib Marko was attacked by the government forces with the help of the international friends, which caused heavy losses to many Al-Shabaab militias.<\/p>\n
