The Ministry of Transport and Aviation of the Federal Government of Somalia has spoken strongly about the disruption of the planes that use the airspace of Somalia, especially when they are passing through the airspace of the Northern regions of Somaliland.<\/p>\n
The Minister of Transport and Aviation, Osman Igaal, said that there have been many misdirections of planes using or passing through the airspace in the northern regions of Somaliland, and this is unacceptable.<\/p>\n
“We have already issued many warnings about the disruption caused by the Somaliland administration to the planes that use the air, especially when they are flying over the areas of the northern regions, talking to the plane in order to mislead them. If they continue to do so in Somaliland, we will take legal action against them. said Minister Ferdowso Osman.<\/p>\n
She also said that it is not legal for the Somaliland radio station in Hargeisa to talk to planes that have not landed or taken off from its airport.<\/p>\n
“In every airport there is a radio intended to talk to the plane that is landing or taking off from the airport, and it is not legal to talk to those radios, only the radio station in Mogadishu has the command to talk to the planes using the airspace of Somalia, the rest is not working. “The planes only take orders from Mogadishu,” said the Minister of Transport and Aviation, Fardowso Ismaab Igal.<\/p>\n
The minister’s statement comes as the Civil Aviation Authority has issued a statement warning Somaliland of the disruption of air traffic by planes using Somalia’s airspace.<\/p>\n
