There are more reports of an attack by members of the Al-Shabaab group last night in Eeldheer district of Galgaduud region where government forces and local residents are present.<\/p>\n

The Federal Government of Somalia, which released a brief statement on the attack, said it had prevented the Al-Shabaab attack, after receiving information about the group’s attack.<\/p>\n

“The National Army and the local militias who received the information of the terrorist plot to attack the riots in Eldheer district were prevented from the area of \u200b\u200bHaanta Agadheere. The 24th Brigade Khalid Bin Walid and the local forces ended the Al-Shabaab members after a brief battle. wanted to attack Eeldheer” was said in a statement issued by the government.<\/p>\n

The commander of the 24th Brigade, Khalid Bin Walid, Major Mohamed Dhagaweyne, told the state media that the members of Al-Shabaab who attacked Eldher inflicted a heavy blow, and the troops are still chasing the group.<\/p>\n

Galgaduud and Mudug regions have been fighting for more than a year between the government and local forces and the Al-Shabaab group in those regions.<\/p>\n
