The public defense forces in the area of ​​Xinlabi in the South of Mudug region have surrendered themselves to the leader of the Al-Shabaab group.

The leader who surrendered to the local army was named Ismail Hassan Ali, who is one of the members of Al-Shabaab fighting in Mudug region.

The local army handed over the leader to the Somali National Security and Intelligence Service (NISA) in Mudug.

“After the reception by the local army, they handed over Chief Ismail to the National Intelligence and Security Service of NISA, their Galmudug unit, to go through the procedures prepared for the surrendering members of the Khawarij ideology,” said a news release. brief from the government.

Yesterday evening, when the Xinlabi local forces arrested about 10 people who were said to be working with the A-Shabaab group, they were arrested in a prison in that area.

It is also worth noting that yesterday in the city of Baidoa, the capital of Bay region, the NISA army presented 10 members who defected from the Al-Shabaab group.
