The United Nations (UN) has donated 5 million US dollars to deal with the heavy rains that have fallen in Somalia.

The new aid comes on top of $25 million from the Somalia Humanitarian Fund and the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). ).

“Humanitarian workers are working day and night to respond to the growing needs, taking measures, to reduce the immediate impact of El Nino and building the resilience of communities.” said in the UN statement.
