Puntland’s opposition forces have carried out military operations in parts of Garowe, the capital of Puntland, this morning.
An informed source told HOL media that these forces are responding to their actions, after accusing President Deni of bringing troops and war vehicles into Garowe.
The troops who came out of their positions closed defense in the area of Addoun hotel. However, they later withdrew, after which I was left alone.
These military activities have caused many families to flee their homes for fear of a war.
People are very worried about what may happen tomorrow when the parliament will debate the approval of the changes in the elections.
On the other hand, traditional elders and Isimada are working together to prevent conflict. We have received information that the elders met with both sides and discussed the control of the forces.
On the 20th of June this year, a war between Said Deni and the opposition in Garowe killed more than 30 people, mostly civilians. No one has yet asked about the loss suffered by the people.
