The SSC-Khatumo forces set fire to Buq-Dharkayn village near Oog district, and also more than 120 km northwest of Lasaanood.
There was a clash between SSC-Khatumo and Somaliland forces in this area, and more than 5 people were killed on both sides.
The SSC-Khatumo forces, who were in control of the war, seized vehicles and military prisoners, including a senior officer of the Somaliland army.
Also, SSC-Khatumo troops set fire to the buildings in Buq-Dharkayn village, saying that people were killed in a conflict organized in the village.
In a video circulated on social media, SSC-Khatumo forces were seen burning the village, saying that they were taking revenge on two rural men from Las-Aanod, who they said were killed by Somaliland forces.
The administration of SSC-Khatumo issued a press release on this incident, accusing Somaliland of attacking rural people who had nothing to do with the conflict in the Sool region.
They said in response to the attack that their forces have arrested soldiers who they said were involved in the killings.
