In an event that took place in Mogadishu, the Government of Italy presented the Government of Somalia with a copy of the laws of Somalia between 1950 and 1990 and a study on the development of the Somali language by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Justice of Somalia.
This forum was attended by the Minister of Education Farah Abdulqadir and the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Justice and the Italian Ambassador to Somalia and other officials.
This work was done by her wife Prof. Annarita Puglielli, former director of the University of Roma Studies Center, and the department was born out of a partnership between the University of the Nation and the University of Roma.
The Italian ambassador to Somalia said that this will strengthen the relationship between the two governments and that this archive is important for the history of law and knowledge of the Somali language for the Somali people.
Finally, Minister Farah Sheikh Abdulqadir described this issue as one that will benefit the present and future generations and thanked the Italian Government for its efforts to preserve the Somali heritage.
