The leaders of the two houses of the Somali Parliament gathered today for a joint session, which was approved by the members of the Independent Committee for National and Border Elections.

Today’s session was presided over by the Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe, and 175 MPs were present as a quorum.

The agenda of today’s session, which was to approve the members of the committee, has already been approved by the members of the committee, and 169 members supported it, 6 members opposed it, and no one remained silent as announced by the chairman Adan Madobe.

The 18-member committee was convened last night by the Cabinet of Ministers, which was approved by the Somali government.

The interesting thing that happened in the Parliament today was that members of the People’s Assembly elected from Jubaland were calling sirens or whistles inside the People’s Assembly as they objected to the vote being taken and the atmosphere of the Parliament changed to noise and loud noise.

MP Hassan Yare, who was one of the MPs who called the siren today in the House of Parliament, said that if the Somali government does not return Ras-Kambooni, they will open a war zone in Mogadishu.
