The former President of Somalia Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and the former Prime Minister of Somalia Hassan Ali Kheyre congratulated the President who was elected today in Kismayo Ahmed Madobe.

The former President of Somalia Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed said “I congratulate Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Ahmed Madobe) who today was elected by the Jubaland Parliament to lead the Jubaland State Government for the next five years. Federal government officials are pressuring the state governments.

Sheikh Sharif said that he is warning the leaders of the Federal Government that the National Army is being used for political purposes and he called on them to avoid creating crisis and instability in the areas of Jubaland and he also suggested the President of Jubaland to play a significant role in finding a solution complicated political issues.

On the other hand, the former Prime Minister of Somalia, Hassan Ali Kheyre, who congratulated President Ahmed Mohamed Islam, unfortunately pointed out that the leaders of the Federal Government, who are pushing for a greedy desire, are evacuating the national army to Jubbaland, in order to incite conflict in the region. A call to the leaders of the country to immediately stop the instigation of this conflict which gives an opportunity to the rebels, endangers the stability of the country and the region as a whole, and also undermines the unity of the country and the unity of the Somali nation.
