The administration of SSC Khatumo accused the Puntland administration of interfering in the independence of their regions, which they said is weakening the relationship between the two sides.
The Minister of Planning SSC-Khatumo, Ahmed Diiriye, said in a press conference that the Minister of Planning of Puntland, Daud Bisinle, is working on a conflict between the two administrations.
The Minister pointed out that agencies sent from Garowe were told to carry out projects in the SSC-Khatumo areas without any consultation with the SSC-Khatumo administration.
“We will take clear action against any organization that does not go through our system, if they try to implement projects in the SSC-Khatumo areas,” said Minister Ahmed Diriye.
The minister also blamed politicians from SSC who are in charge of Puntland, describing them as the leaders of what he called “threats” to the administration of SSC-Khatumo.
