The outgoing president of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, congratulated the newly elected president, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro.
President Bihi said that the election was held so that the people could choose the person they want, he underlined that the election of President Irro is legal, and his party accepted the result.
“Congratulations to the president-elect, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi, for your success. I promise to stand with you in full support and hand over the position to you efficiently. May God make your position one that leads to peace, development, and lasting success for our dear country.” said President Bihi.
Bihi emphasized the importance of not disputing the results of the election, and that the community should stand with the new government, praying to the elected president to succeed in the important position he was elected to.
On the other hand, he thanked his supporters for their efforts and how they gave him the opportunity to be in office for 7 years, warning him against the sentiments and things that are not good for social unity that some people spread.
