The National Vision Party led by the former President of Somalia Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed sent his congratulations to the 3rd Parliament of Jubaland State whose election was concluded yesterday by the traditional elders of Jubaland and they were sworn in as parliamentarians and the party was praised by the Independent Committee on Borders and Elections of Jubaland. the work they have done so far in the Jubaland election.
“According to Article 120 of the Transitional Constitution, the establishment of the legislative and executive branches of the member states of the Federal Government are matters to be regulated in the constitutions of the regional governments, so the party calls on the leaders of the Federal Government of Somalia to comply with the Constitution. On the other hand, the former Prime Minister of Somalia, Hassan Ali Kheyre, sent a congratulatory message to the new members of the Jubaland Parliament who were sworn in yesterday in Kismayo.
“I congratulate the members of the House of Representatives of the Jubaland Regional Government who were selected by the Jubaland Traditional Elders, and I call on them to effectively fulfill their constitutional duties, work to improve the laws and institutions of Jubbaland, and give priority to the protection of the public interest. , and strengthening the peace and unity of the Jubbaland community,” said Kheyre.
Hassan Ali Kheyre declared that other regional governments in the country need to take the same path that Jubaland has now set foot on.
“The building of the 3rd Parliament of Jubbaland is a step taken towards the country’s elections which were uncertain, and the leaders of Galmumug, Hirshabeelle, and South-West regions are calling for it to be held immediately,hold the elections which is a fundamental right given by the country’s constitution to the states,” said the former Prime Minister of Somalia, Hassan Ali Kheyre.
