The Jubaland Electoral Commission today officially received from the traditional elders of the Jubaland communities the list of new members of the Jubaland Third House of Representatives.
Chairman of the Jubaland Elections Committee, Dr. Mursal Siad Mohamed, together with the members of the election committee, received the traditional elders one by one and each elder handed over the committee to the member he represents, who will represent his community in the new House of Representatives.
The traditional elders who submitted the list of new members today told the media that they have fully played the most important role in building the Jubaland House of Representatives, which is the legislative body that is the foundation of the Jubaland government.
After that, the committee will work on announcing the MPs and conducting the Jubaland Parliamentary Committee Election which is expected to take place on the 21st of this month on Thursday.
