The Somaliland Electoral Commission announced that Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro was elected as the 6th president of Somaliland, also, the Waddani party, the Kaah organization and the Kulmiye party won.
The total number of votes cast in the Somaliland presidential election is 647,863, while the total number of valid votes is 638,126, and 9,528 votes are invalid.
Abdirahman Irro, who was a candidate from the Wadani party, won 407,908 votes, equivalent to 63.92%, President Muse Bihi Abdi, who was a candidate from the Kulmiye party, received 225,519 votes, equivalent to 34.81%, while the candidate of the UCID party, Faisal Ali Warabe, won got 4,699 which is equal to 0.74.
In the election of the parties, which was combined with the presidential election, the total number of votes was 646,188, equivalent to 53%, while 630,812 votes, equivalent to 98%, were valid.
The Waddani party got 216, 284 votes, the Kulmiye party next got 108,100 and the Kaah organization got 131,507, thus they are the three parties that will be in Somliland for the next 10 years.
Also, the Barwako organization received 16,852 votes, the Rajo organization received 2,083 votes.
Horseed organization received 78,218 votes.
The Talowadaag party got 6080, the UCID party got 10,105 votes, the Lightning got 59,569 votes, and the People’s Party got 2014. These organizations all lost the election.
